Park B

As summer ends and the water temperature cools, it is important to realize that our neighborhood offers some really great features in our parks that do not require a boat. While almost all residents are very familiar with Park A, many long-time residents also well as new residents do not have an understanding that Park B is more than a place where (2) individuals always moor their boats.

LOCATION

Park B is located on the East side of the neighborhood between 11013 and 11031 Higley Circle East. Since so many new and long-time residents were unsure of the exact location a rope marker was just installed. Please note the custom wooden signed will be made and attached to the front poles.

FISHING

Fishing is one of the activities that can be done at Park B, and here’s why Park B is a preferred fishing location:

  • Easy access to deeper water. The big bluegill and sunfish are often located on the ~20-foot drop-off just a few yards from the end of the dock.
  • It is a safer place to fish because not as many boats are going in and out—a big plus for small children.
  • The fish will not be spooked off by constant boat noise.
  • Park B’s dock is not removed for winter as Park A dock is. Thus, it serves as a fishing pier all year long, including Big Sugarloaf access in the winter for ice fisherman.
  • Park B has (2) customer fishing pole holders as shown below.

ENJOY THE LAKEVIEW

The bench below is a great spot to enjoy a sunrise with a cup of coffee. Since the is now just after 7:00 am you watch, take a picture, and post it from the end of the dock or custom bench. As the picture show, you can sit out here when there is snow and ice.

ENJOY A QUIET SECLUDED AREA

The picnic table below is a great place to read a book, hang out with family and friends, or have a picnic. The many mature trees serve as shade in the summer as well as will be a colorful sight in a month. Feel free to bring some games or toys the park for children to pay with.

SWIMMING

While there is some warm water left, try swimming at Park B. There is a folding dock ladder to use to get in and out of the water. Also, the deeper, seaweed free water is close, so you lessen the swimming through weeds. This is a safer place to swim with less boat traffic than Park A. Enjoy!
